SmartEdge is the result of the passionate Team-Smart Steps. We are a team of management graduates from top business schools - Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (ISB), Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi (FMS) and Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). All of us had our school and college days in rural and semi-rural places and we went through series of hardships in selecting and reaching our paths to success. Lack of guidance at the right time was all pervasive and we had so many missteps in the early stages of academics. One of the choices that really went right was doing masters in “Business Schools” and it immensely benefited our careers and enhanced our lifetime options.

Excellent curriculum, faculty and more importantly regular discussions with classmates drawn from across the country gave us real perspective about management education. Those B-Schools helped us in improving our communication skills and analytical skills to a great extent. We were blessed with vast alumni networks spread across various companies, businesses and geographies. In one word, what the education there endowed us with was – ‘Confidence’. For Life.

After working in reputed companies for about a decade, now looking from the Employers’ perspective, we still saw that nothing much changed from our times when it comes to a vital aspect for the graduating students - “Timely Career Guidance”. We thought that we could help by being effective change agents. To realize this dream, we started SmartSteps in 2008. In the last 4 years, we had visited more than 100 colleges across the state and helped graduating students by enhancing their awareness, knowledge levels to sensitize them to and work on enhancing their employability levels.
